Leandra Naude grew up in Utrecht, Northern Natal and Matriculated in 1993. Sy always had a passion to make a difference in the world and studied Social work at the University of Pretoria. She met her husband, Paul, during this time. Later on she completed her Masters degree and approached every job she had with excess energy and passion. Paul and Leandra have two daughters, who are currently very busy and beautiful young teenagers, that enriches their lives and makes it very interesting.
Leandra baptised herself as the “postergirl for burnout” due to the fact that she burned out many times in her career. In 2011, however, she was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus and had to resign due to illness. The love and support that she received from her husband and girls and all the books that she could get lost in, gave her strength during this time. That is why she decided to write a book.
Her first book, Reis deur die hart, was her own personal journey to discover herself as a person and as writer. Her characters loved the journey so much that they decided to continue and together they are writing new journeys.
